Information we collect

Location, when you use "near me" search. If you choose to use the near-me search, your browser asks for your location and sends your coordinates to our server to find nearby venues. We don't store these coordinates — they're used for that single search and discarded.

Information you submit through claim, edit, or report forms. If you claim a listing, suggest an edit, or report a venue as closed, we store the message and email address you provide (email is optional) so we can review the submission and follow up if needed.

Standard web analytics. We use aggregated, privacy-respecting analytics to understand overall site traffic (e.g., which pages are visited, in general terms). This doesn't identify you personally.

Advertising and cookies

We work with Google AdSense to show ads on this site. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services, and manage your ad personalization settings, at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can opt out of personalized advertising through Google Ad Settings or, in the EU/UK, via the consent prompt shown on your first visit.

How we use information

We use submitted information solely to review and act on listing claims, edits, and closure reports. We don't sell your personal information, and we don't use submission data for advertising.

Third-party services

This site is hosted on Vercel and stores data with Supabase. Venue data is sourced primarily from the Foursquare Open Source Places dataset (Apache 2.0 licensed), supplemented by owner submissions.

Your choices

You can decline location access and still use the site — near-me search simply won't return results. You can decline ad personalization through the tools linked above. If you'd like us to delete a submission you made, contact us and we'll remove it.
