What Pool Hall Scout is

Pool Hall Scout is a directory of pool halls and billiards venues across the US, along with related guides and articles. It's provided for informational purposes to help you find places to play.

Accuracy of information

Venue listings are compiled from third-party data sources and submissions from venue owners and visitors. We make reasonable efforts to keep listings accurate, but we don't guarantee that any listing — including hours, pricing, table availability, or whether a venue is still open — is complete, current, or error-free. Always confirm details with the venue directly before visiting.

Content you submit

If you claim a listing, suggest an edit, or report a venue as closed, you confirm that your submission is accurate to the best of your knowledge and that you're authorized to submit it (for example, that you're actually affiliated with a venue you claim). You agree not to submit anything false, defamatory, or intended to spam or mislead. We review submissions before they take effect and may reject or remove any submission at our discretion.

By submitting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, edit, and publish it on the site.

Intellectual property

The site's design, code, blog articles, and the way we organize and present venue information are our work and are protected by copyright. You're welcome to link to, quote, or reference our pages with attribution, but you may not copy, scrape, or republish substantial portions of the site's compiled listings or written content without permission.

Some underlying venue data (names, addresses, and similar details) is sourced from the Foursquare Open Source Places dataset, licensed under Apache 2.0. That underlying data isn't exclusively ours, and its use is governed by its own license terms, not these terms.

Linking to us

You're welcome to link to any page on Pool Hall Scout without asking us first, as long as the link isn't misleading and doesn't falsely imply an endorsement or partnership that doesn't exist.

Third-party links and advertising

This site links to venue websites and other third-party sites we don't control, and shows ads served by Google AdSense. We aren't responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of any third-party site, and a link or ad isn't an endorsement.

Prohibited use

You agree not to: use automated tools to scrape or bulk-download the site's compiled listings; submit false claims, edits, or closure reports; attempt to access the admin area or other non-public parts of the site without authorization; or use the site in any way that violates applicable law.

No warranty
